Changing the Narrative. One Story at a Time.
The Lifestrong Project was created with a simple but powerful belief: the Black community has an abundance of positive stories that deserve greater visibility. For too long, public narratives about Black people have focused on challenges, conflict, and negative stereotypes, leaving countless achievements, contributions, and everyday victories underrepresented.
We believe it's time to help tell a fuller story.
The Mission
The Lifestrong Project is dedicated to amplifying the positive voices, stories, achievements, and contributions of the Black community. Through authentic conversations that celebrate resilience, triumph, excellence, and the human spirit, we challenge negative stereotypes, reshape narratives, and inspire individuals and future generations to recognize the possibilities within themselves and their communities.
Who We Serve
The Lifestrong Project is rooted in Black life, Black experience, and Black voices, and it welcomes anyone who values authentic storytelling, positive representation, and community impact. Our conversations speak to entrepreneurs, educators, creatives, leaders, families, mentors, and everyday changemakers, across generations and every kind of life experience.
Our Vision
To help build a world where the Black community is recognized, celebrated, and represented not merely by its struggles, but by its achievements, resilience, excellence, humanity, and limitless potential.
Our Four Editorial Pillars
Every story we share sits within one of four editorial pillars, explored through six ongoing conversation themes.
Black Excellence & Achievement. Celebrating the accomplishments of Black entrepreneurs, professionals, innovators, educators, creatives, community leaders, and everyday individuals whose achievements deserve recognition.
Resilience & Comeback Stories. Sharing powerful stories of perseverance, determination, and triumph from individuals who have faced adversity, overcome obstacles, and found the strength to move forward.
Community Impact & Positive Change. Recognizing the people, organizations, and initiatives making meaningful contributions to Black families, neighborhoods, institutions, and future generations.
Wisdom, Growth & Generational Inspiration. Exploring the experiences, insights, and lessons that help individuals grow, strengthen their families, discover possibilities, and inspire the next generation.
The Blueprint Philosophy
The Lifestrong Project doesn't just tell stories. We extract the blueprint. Every conversation is designed to answer four questions:
What Happened?
The story. Every episode begins with a real experience.
What Changed?
The turning point. The realization, decision, or transformation.
How Did They Move Forward?
The path forward. Actions, strategies, habits, and mindset shifts.
What Can You Use?
The blueprint. Practical lessons you can apply to your own life.
